Hashed Broccoli

Side Dish

How do you eat broccoli? I almost always have them in my salad. I mean I couldn’t think of any other ways..!! So I saw this post and had to immediately try! And wow it was really really good!

Ingredients

  • 1 medium sized broccoli (approx. 150-200g)
  • 1 strip bacon
  • 3 tablespoons potato starch
  • 30g shredded cheese (that melts)
  • a pinch of salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Chop the green part of broccoli into small (about half an inch) pieces. Slice the stem into smaller pieces. Cut the bacon into small pieces as well.
  2. Put everything in a bowl and mix well.
  3. Heat a tablespoon of vegetable oil or olive oil in a pan, and cook like a pancake for 3 minutes with a lid (heat on low to medium). Turn it over and cook without a lid until golden brown.

Notes

  • Use cheese that melts with heat. Otherwise, it would not look and taste the same.
  • It is better to cook 2 smaller pieces as turning one large piece over can be very difficult…!
